Counselling for Codependency
You may have arrived here because you...
-
Spent your life caring for others, making sure everyone else is okay, trying to please and gain approval
-
Feel empty when you're alone and not focused on someone else's needs
-
Try to perfect your role as supporter or caregiver, but you continue to feel unfulfilled, anxious or depressed
-
Have consistently given up what you want or need to support someone else
-
End up saying "yes" to requests, even when inside you really want to say "no"
-
Are craving a different way of relating to yourself and others

If this resonates with you, you may have developed codependent relationship patterns.

Read on to see if my therapy for codependency services might help you.
You may have noticed that you always put yourself last.
When you really think about it, your focus on supporting or caring for others, has become detrimental to your own health and well-being.
You might notice that your focus on other people's well-being or problems often comes with feelings of anxiety, fear, or guilt. Perhaps, it's becoming harder to feel compassion for the people in your life and you're starting to notice feelings of resentment when you're helping or supporting.
If this is you: you need a space where you can turn inward to explore who you are and what you need to feel well and find joy in your life.
Your feelings, wants, and needs matter as much as anyone else's.
I help you reconnect with and get to know yourself, so that you can begin to offer yourself the same loving care you so often give to others.
By turning your attention inward and setting healthy boundaries, you can set yourself free to live the life you've always wanted to.

I believe that by increasing your ability for self-trust and
self-care, you will be able to identify your needs, and start giving yourself the attention and support you deserve.
Together, we'll explore ways for you to separate your own emotions from others' emotions and protect your own energy and needs.
Recovery from Codependency is possible.
I know because I've done it!
At a young age, I learned that I felt safest when everyone else's needs were anticipated and met. As an adult, however, I discovered that I had focused on other people so much that I didn't really know myself.
Through my own therapy, I began tending to my own needs and setting healthier boundaries. The result was feeling much more confident, content, and at peace.
Over the years, I have worked with many folks who've learned that self-sacrifice is the only way to show love. I am passionate about helping others see that caring for themselves is not selfish, but is actually the path to healthier, more compassionate relationships.
By combining my clinical training as a social worker and a therapist with my lived experiences, I'm able to more fully see your experience with codependency while guiding you through your journey to recovery.
